  Over the weekend I persuaded my friends to go to Tyler's Taproom for dinner... horrible mistake! Since I had been there once before and really enjoyed the food (not the slow service), I wanted them to try it as well. This time we went around 8pm to avoid the dinner crowd and were told that it would be a 20 min wait but the pub tables by the bar were first come so we chose to sit there. Yikes! We ordered an app of fried pickles and then entrees but it took over 30 mins to get the app and literally an HOUR to receive our meals. Horrible service in the meanwhile and then upon bringing out the food the waitress stated 2x "let me know if it isn't warm"?!?? Why wouldn't our food be warm after waiting an hour? My food was horrible and I ate very little of it but paid $14 for the entree alone (I have never trusted sending food back to the kitchen). Needless to say, they've lost our business.

  I had a birthday party in the private dining room. The food and service was great! Some of my guests are still talking about the food!

  Not as good as the Tyler's in Chapel Hill/Carrboro. I was looking forward to a bucket of garlic fries, but instead i got a plate with numerous overcooked broken fry bits. Very disappointing. An underwhelming oily blackened fish for my wife for $14 and a heavily cheesed bland BBQ Cuban sandwich for myself. Bland is a difficult task for BBQ, pickles, and mustard.
